LC† Reconciling Spirit
is a five-day devotional project
that will take place from July 10th - 14th, 2019.

It is hard to believe that it is almost the middle of summer! This season often means a change of routine, as we make space and time for vacation, family and time spent in nature. Some of our churches and faith communities may have stopped meeting for the summer or gone to minimal hours. It can be hard during these times to keep up a regular spiritual practice.

Join us this week for a mid-summer five day devotional, starting Wednesday, July 10th and ending Sunday July 14th, as we reflect on themes of reconciliation. One of the most challenging aspects of practicing reconciliation is that it doesn’t have a finite beginning or end. Our desire is to restore wholeness and right relationship in our lives, the lives of others and God’s creation, so we take the time that it takes. How do we keep our focus on being and becoming reconciling people?

The theme of reconciliation will also be the focus of the National Convention of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, which will take place this week in Regina from Thursday, July 11th to Saturday, July 13th. This devotional is timed to coincide with the convention, but you don’t have to be Lutheran, or following the convention, to find meaning in it! The devotional will be focused first and foremost on reconciliation themes, but it will also give us a chance to pray alongside the convention, upholding those who are helping to set a vision for the direction of our church.

Devotions will be posted on the dates noted above,
and not in advance. But this is the right place to come!

Blessings on your day!
